Speaker Series # 2 with Wade Davis

Join Outward Bound Canada on July 9th at 1:00pm EST as we feature Wade Davis in the second installment of our online Speaker Series. Wade Davis is an Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society, and a scientist, scholar, poet and passionate defender of all of life’s diversity.

The challenges and opportunities faced by young people today are unlike any we have faced for generations. Due to the disruption of education, employment, access to recreation and the outdoors, and the systemic barriers that continue to exist in our country, many youth are missing out on vital experiences that foster connection to self, others and nature. In conversation with Marika Chandler, OBC’s Ontario Director, Wade Davis will discuss the importance of connection through the lens of his many experiences and the need for greater access to all the outdoors has to offer.
