Toronto: Urban Wild 3-Week Grade 12 High School Credit in Recreation Leadership

Build your leadership, resiliency and communication skills while earning a grade 12 Recreational Leadership credit as well as recognized credentials in canoeing, climbing, hiking and more.
*Note: a prerequisite of any health and physical education course is required to take this credit. If you choose to take our PPL2/30 course in July as your prerequisite for this course, a bundle discount will apply!
On our three-week program starting from the Don Valley Brick Works Park, students will earn their Physical Education credit in “Recreation and Healthy Active Living Leadership” (PLF4M) while developing resiliency, leadership, communication and independence. Bolstered by a team building focus and a variety of empowering outdoor lifestyle skills, this course makes for an unforgettable way to earn a required credit.

Working in small teams, students will take ownership of situational leadership responsibilities to plan, execute and evaluate various recreational adventures for themselves and others. Every Thursday night is an overnight camping experience in which students will be evaluated on the learnings from that week. The final week will have a two night camping exam. Rouge National Urban Park, The Niagara Escarpment, The Oak Ridges Moraine and more are locations that students may choose to explore as part of this course.
