The Program Model:
The Outward Bound experience asks participants to step away from their everyday environment and immerses themselves in an exciting outdoor adventure where they must draw on their individual strengths and work on a team to strive for success. Using experiential education to travel each day, camp each night, and cook their meals over a fire, this model provides them with the opportunity to reconnect with themselves, with others and with nature. In a supportive environment, young people can transform their attitudes, behaviours and beliefs, coming away with a renewed sense of their own self-worth and potential. The experience is most successful when youth are highly motivated to participate and challenge themselves in this dynamic environment.
