Share Your Outward Bound Canada Story 

Whether you’re an alum, a parent, a current or former instructor,  or a long-time supporter, you’re an important member of the Outward Bound Canada crew – and we’d love to hear from you!

Share your story with our community: the highlights (and low points!) of the expedition you participated in, the impact the experience had on your life (or your child’s life), and the memories that will stay with you for years to come. 

Your story will help inspire and encourage more youth to embark on their own transformative journey, just as you did.

There are many ways you can tell your story:

Write A blog post

Got a knack for words? Write your story down and we’ll publish it on our blog! Don’t worry about missing a grammar mistake or writing a perfect sentence: our communications team will review and edit the post before we publish it. We won’t drastically change anything, and you’ve the final say before it goes online – we want you to have fun and be proud to share your own story!

Make sure to include a short (2 to 4 lines)  description of yourself in your post so we can add it at the end. If you have a website, blog, or social media profile you’d like to promote, we’ll be happy to include the link. We’ll also pay you $125 as a thank you for your time and effort in writing a blog post.

Give us an interview 

Another way to share your story is to have a member of our team interview you via email (or phone if requested). The process is simple: we’ll send you a list of questions to answer, and then contact you to clarify any additional questions that may arise from your answers. 

Tell your story in a video

Are you more of a video person? Record your story in a video up to one minute long, send us the file or YouTube link, and we’ll share it with our audience.

Show off your art

Did your experience inspire you enough to turn it into art? Show us your drawings, poems, photo essays or other artistic expressions – we’d love to see and share them!

When you post photos and stories from your adventure, don’t forget to tag @OutwardBoundCanada and #OutwardBoundCanada so we can share too!
